So, I was listening to the radio this morning and I happened to hear a news report about a lady in Pennsylvania. Folks, she sued KMart for taxing her on a nontaxable necessity: toilet paper. But they didn't charge her just once but....twice! Ya know what? Thats a total of 56 cents! Oh good heavens! How do the clerks at KMart sleep at night?
This lady took them to court and won the lawsuit. Thats right, she took home $100 in smakaroos, plus...the cost of court was covered.
Is there a valuable lesson to be learned in all of this? Why of course there is! The next time you are buying your 12 roll pack of sh*t tickets and are standing in the checkout line (or for that matter, even sitting on the can) just remember...you too can save 28 cents and you owe it all to your reading of this post. ;)
